I think maybe I should live in Seattle because of how much I love overcast and rainy days. Don’t get me wrong, I do love the sunshine but the glimpse of fall that has been popping in here and there lately has me giddy. I’ve been (im)patiently waiting for cooler days to pull out my new & now favorite cold-sweater sweater and black ripped boyfriend jeans.

So the sweater is amazing for 3 reasons: 1) you can wear your normal bra with it! The lasagna straps hide straps making this sweater a no-brainer piece to throw on; 2) it’s part of Charlotte Russe’s BOGO $12.50 deal, along with the jeans (Seriously – got the jeans AND sweater for under $40!); and 3) the sweater is loose, comfy, and comes in multiple colors. Winning! And the jeans – they’re cheap, cute, and stretchy! I’ve been wearing Refuge brand for years because of my athletic/muscular build. Refuge has always fit when other brands were too tight and not curvy enough for my legs, so I will continue to buy them. Both pieces are true to size, although I sized up in the sweater for a looser fit.

Tip: I front tuck all my sweaters because I am not that tall (5’2″) and many of them look long on me and boxy. It’s an easy fix to create a totally different look!

Today I think I am going to buy some fixings for a slow cooker recipe. It just seems like the perfect, overcast, chilly day to do it! I am thinking cream cheese chicken, plus I know Jared would love it. What is your favorite slow cooker recipe or fall food? Leave me some feedback!

XOXO – Danielle

  1. First of all, that color combination is my new favorite! Wow! And second, I love those pants with those shoes! They look comfy but stylish which is always my goal. My favorite thing to make in the crock pot is ANYTHING AND EVERYHING ON PINTREST. I am a huge fan of finding crock pot recipes on there and making them on the weekends when I can smell it cooking all day 😍

  2. Chicken and noodles is my go-to for the crock pot! My next one is always chili, but I cook it on the stove top, so I can’t be as lazy and just let it sit all day 😆😆 lookin super cute, girl! 😘

  3. Love the color of that sweater!

I live in Seattle and it doesn’t always rain here (that can be true in winter) but summers are dry. We can go 60+ days with no rain… the grass is brown and there are sunny blue skies. Transitioning to fall (sunny blue sky out my window right now).

This isn’t a crock pot recipe but this is my new favorite fall soup. It is so flavorful!
